I Woke Up Cold

Written on November 27, 2011 – 5:42 am | by admin

There is nothing worse than waking up feeling like you are still in a dream.  That is exactly how I felt today when I woke up and it seemed that the house was freezing cold.  The first thought in my mind was “Am I dead?” – but the truth was something worse was wrong.

I put my slippers on at the side of the bed, and took the flashlight with me.  The sun had not risen yet, and the lights were not working, so I assumed that the power was out.  Tip-toeing through the house, I noticed that the kids were all still sleeping.  At least everyone was okay, even though I was cold.

The power came on ten minutes later, but there was no heat.  I tried going down to the basement to start the furnace, but had no luck.  Since it is winter here, I couldn’t really leave it alone, so I looked in the phonebook and called a company that offered heating furnace repair Riverside.  They promised they would make it out today to take a look, and they came out in just one hour.

As it turns out, my furnace died and they are in the process of replacing it.  Thankfully these electric heaters I had are doing enough to keep the house warm enough to live in, though I’ll be honest with you – I’m wearing three sweaters right now.  I am hoping that they will be able to finish up today so that I don’t wake up cold in the morning.  You don’t realize how much you depend on your furnace until it is broken.

Conveyor Systems

Conveyor systems are structures of machines that work together to move products or materials from one location within a facility to another location. Cornerstoneautosys.com offers conveyors which keep products or materials moving as workers perform whichever tasks are involved throughout the process like packaging or sorting. Conveyor systems can be especially useful for industries like automobiles or food as the conveyor system moves the automobile parts along the line for different workers to complete the assembling of a car or truck.

There are various types of conveyors that can go throughout your facility and even have multiple levels. These systems are crucial for companies to maintain their production quota to earn maximum revenue or meet demands. Without them, companies could potentially go out of business as some industries like the automobile industry have parts that weigh a few hundred pounds and would be very difficult for humans to carry repetitively throughout their shifts.

Conveyors come in all types of sizes and can be installed in any facility based on your needs and budget. These conveyor systems can move products or materials of just about any size including heavy duty industrial parts. Depending on the product being moved, conveyors can be faster or slower, quieter or louder, and more or less powerful.

These conveyors can come in different shapes as you can have them straight, circular, or a combination of both depending on the layout of your building or the process of transporting, assembling, or separating products and materials. For example, some food industries would need different stations to sort the food, package the food, and then label the food packages. Each station could need a specific modification in the conveyor line like an extra space on the sides to remove products if needed.

Safety is a major concern for most companies and conveyor systems have many features to prevent serious accidents or injuries. Make sure to go over whatever safety instructions or safety features are included with the specific conveyor system installed.
